flyder i mig
By Hedvig Skjerdingstad, 2021. Published by Forlaget Korridor with funding from The Danish Arts Foundation and Dreyers Fond.
The book flyder i mig (eng. afloat) is an experimental publication, combining poetry with visual and spatial knowledge and notions of materiality. Topics such as fluidity, renegotiation and thresholds are explored in relation to motherhood, and the language is characterised by a seeking voice of fragmented words and dissolved phrases. The semi-transparent pages of the book create a ‘three-dimensional’ experience and challenges the notion of chronological reading. There’s not one possible reading of the book – but many – and the reader is thus activated and invited to participate in the creation of the work.
